Is This Apple's Next iMac Pro?
Apple discontinued the Intel-based iMac Pro in 2021, but the iMac Pro might make a comeback in the Apple silicon era in the next two to three years.
Bloomberg's Mark Gurman today reported that Apple may release a higher-end iMac with an OLED display in 2028 or 2029, and such a model could certainly be worthy of iMac Pro branding. The existing 24-inch iMac with an LCD would likely remain available a lower price point, while the iMac Pro with an OLED display would be more expensive.
A higher-end iMac Pro would likely have "Pro" and "Max" chip options as well.
In the meantime, Apple is expected to give the 24-inch iMac an M6 chip later this year.
